Chris retired to West Wales in 1992 after having been a partner in one of the then largest firms in the West Midlands.
However, he soon set up on his own and subsequently took over James Jones Son & Francis Solicitors, a firm that has been in Llandysul in the same premises (which were purpose built for solicitors) for over 100 years.
He currently specialises in Wills and Trust work although he has experience in heavy-duty Litigation, partner disputes and medical law. He has sat as a part-time Tribunal judge for over 20 years and combines this with an enthusiasm for lifelong learning, something he encourages in the practice. His first degree was in Legal and Political Philosophy, the second in Advanced Litigation Practice and he is currently working towards a Doctorate at the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies.Chris now works as a consultant of the firm.
Carys Davies-James
With 8 years’ legal experience, 5 of which working at James Jones Son & Francis, Carys became Managing Partner of James Jones Son & Francis on 31st March 2017. She is extremely excited to lead the team and continue to offer the high standard of service. It has been an ambition of Carys’ to own a firm from a very young age.
Sian Price-Davies
Sian initially studied at Coleg y Drindod Dewi Sant, Carmarthen from 2006 to 2009 graduating with a BA (Hons) Degree in Theatre, Music and Media, she then continued her studies at the University and accomplished an MA in Creative Writing.She went on to work in the TV industry until deciding to follow a career in law.
Jane Griffiths
Jane Griffiths is our Accounts Manager and has been with James Jones Solicitors since February 2006.
Jane has also run her own book keeping practice since 1997, having worked for a local firm of accountants for the previous 10 years.
